Update Version 1.2V

DEVLOG // UI & GAMEPLAY UPDATE

> STATUS: IN DEVELOPMENT

We're working on the first UI sketch for Code Debugger. The goal is to have a consistent interface across the whole game, while keeping the terminal / debugging feeling.

> UI / RESPONSIVE

The UI is being redesigned to be more coherent across all screens and resolutions. Everything should feel like part of the same debugging tool instead of separate menus.

The interface will be responsive, so the game can adapt better to different screen sizes.

> INVESTIGATION

One thing we don't want is for the game to feel like you're simply guessing where the bugs are.

While investigating the code, moving around and spending time looking at different parts will give you more clues. The more you investigate, the more information you can uncover.

> INVESTIGATING...
> ANALYZING CODE...
> NEW CLUE FOUND.

> NOT EVERYTHING IS A BUG

We're also adding situations where something looks like a bug but isn't one.

This should make fixing things more risky. You might see something suspicious and decide to fix it immediately... but if you're wrong, you lose Story Points.

The idea is to make the player stop and think:

"Do I fix this now, or do I investigate a little more?"

> THE GOAL

We want every decision to have some risk behind it. Investigate to get more information, take a chance when you think you've found something, or go deeper and try to find the root cause.

> MORE CLUES.
> MORE RISKS.
> MORE BUGS.
> MORE STORY POINTS.

> NEXT UPDATE: MORE UI + GAMEPLAY

Thanks for checking out the development!
